Tarot Project: Page of Cups

I woke up this morning feeling sad, so I went back to bed for a while. I blame Jane the Virgin. I am ridiculously emotionally invested in the show, and since it’s a telenovela, it plays with my emotions like a cat playing with a mouse it’s not overly fond of.

Other than that, it’s just been a lazy day. Just me hanging out in the apartment, doing nothing but watching TV, doing dishes, doing laundry, vacuuming, writing this blog post, paying bills, researching holiday presents, and reading a book for review. Just a l-a-a-a-z-y day.

Today’s card is the Page of Cups. One of the Minor Arcana court cards, the pages represent children, beginnings, and messages. Pages are sometimes represented as princesses; in fact, the Page of Cups is also known as the Princess of the Waters, or the Lotus of the Palace of the Floods. The pages are cards of gender harmony, a balance of yin and yang, though the Page of Cups specifically incarnates the yin elements, water and earth.

The Page of Cups signifies a dreamy, creative, passive state. The subconscious is actively speaking, quieting the rest of the world. It has a message to tell the querent, if they are listening. There might also be an external message received today: it will be a message about relationships, possibly news about family, marriages, or births.

Okay, that is the reading for today. Now I’m going to go back to enjoying my lazy, dreamy state of house chores and relaxation.
